Life is about Joy!

I want to start with apologizing with how long its been since i have posted on my blog! I have been busy but at the end of the day that is just an excuse.. I just simply fell off the wagon and got happy walking behind for a little while!

The past few weeks have be great though, I have finally found a community of positive supportive people to surround myself with! I have been even more inspired now to share my gifts and what i have with everyone else out there looking for something more in their life!

Im going to start with a little about myself just so you can kind of get where i am coming from. My name is Zach Regehr and I am 20 years old, I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada at least for now! I was born and raised about 20 minutes outside the city and dont think i could ever live in a row of houses like the majority of people do! I LOVE the space and the freedom I have out in the country! Nothing beats sitting in our screen porch listening to the sound of the waterfalls while the frogs croak between themselves! No city lights to disrupt the starry skies and no sounds of traffic and people to break the peaceful sounds of utter bliss!

My parents are both business owners and my Mother is a true visionary! She started a business and everyone told her she was crazy, 20 years later she is very successful and has helped me so much by supporting my dreams and being their to tell me i can do anything i set my mind to! It’s amazing the gifts i have been given in this life and i thank God for them everyday now! (after fighting with him for a few years) So thats enough about me and my life, I leave some for another time!

Now on to the good stuff, to the things that have been flying around my head the last few days! Simply “Life is about Joy” and thats it! But at the end of the day its not that simple, a lot of people don’t even know what joy feels like! Joy comes from within, its not something you can buy and not something that possessions can bring you! Joy is a feeling that can only be grasped when we do what we love to do and help other people achieve their goals and dreams!

Help other people before you look to help yourself because at the end of the day you are doing both! Helping others and putting others before yourself makes you a stronger more down to earth person and will fill you with joy from the inside out! Money will never buy you happiness but it allows you to do what you love and help other people achieve their dreams as well! Helping people is where you will find real joy, so open yourself up to the people around you and let them help you get to where you want to be! If they don’t respect your dreams and goals they are probably not meant to be apart of your life!

Its time to do something!

There is all sorts of unhappy people out there! People with too much money, people with no money (DEBT), and some people with a just little money which makes the saying money doesn’t buy happiness VERY true!

This being said, money does not have to be something you are scared of. There is thousands of rich people out there that live very happy and wholesome lives! The key to living a happy life is realizing you dreams, your passion, and what you do naturally! 

Dont chase money chase your dreams and the money will follow! Like my mother always told me, “Get so good at something you love to do so that people will pay you to do it! This is completely true, we need people in this world with passion and drive!

We are all on the same team, we all need each other to move this world forward! I was overwhelmed with emotion when i watched the video below! The power and truth of the words this little man speaks in amazing! Please watch and support this little guy, he will truly be a great leader one day!

Nothing worth while comes easy!

I dont believe that anyone ever has achieved “overnight success”. I mean to wake up and put an idea into action… wait till the next morning and boom millionaire..

This just doesnt happen! Every idea worth chasing, worth pursuing is hard and usually takes years of learning before the final product is finished! 

People though Steve Jobs was crazy, at one point he even left the company, but 36 years after the creation of the first apple computer they have a revenue upwards of 100 billion dollars! Larger than google and microsoft combined!

It wont be easy, people are not going to hand you your dreams, people will call you crazy because you can do something that they cannot! 

Dont let anyone pull you away from your dreams! Show them how stupid they are for trying to stop you by succeeding beyond their wildest dreams! People are small minded with a narrow view on life, help these people by showing them what can be done when you believe in your dreams!!

Now go out and make your dreams happen!

To be truly inspired

What does it mean to be inspired and can all people be inspired by the same thing?

This is a very hard question i have been asking myself lately, and Its defiantly not a yes or no kind of thing! I think to be truly inspired is to be overwhelmed by a feeling of purpose, joy, and satisfaction all at once! But these are just the words that we come up to best describe the feelings, the place where these feelings take place in your brain actually has no link to your vocabulary or ability to speak.

So what I mean is being inspired is a feeling, it will be different for everyone!

This is an example from my life. When i first started this blog I was on vacation in BC, I have had the idea for Dream Chasers for almost a year and i finally found a place to start! So i wrote my first post “Why am i doing this?” , and another “How Great Leaders Inspire Action” It felt so amazing to actually be able to read my own thoughts, delete and rethink them, and find out that i love to write! I put away my computer satisfied that even if no one read it or even saw it that I now understood some of my ideas on a deeper level. The next night after a long day of snowboarding i took a look at my blog and saw that their was about 15 people who had liked my posts! I was overwhelmed and over joyed that anyone had even seen it! It was not to long before I was on my way driving back to Winnipeg, this is a twenty hour drive so i knew i would have lots of time to think and i mean lots! The drive started with me admiring the mountains and not wanting to leave for the flat fields of Manitoba, but slowly my mind started to race into thoughts of Dream Chasers and three times on the drive I believe I felt true inspiration! Three times i started crying tears of Joy, like to be so happy all you can do is cry is a feeling i had never really experienced before. I realized what i want to do with my life, it still may take different paths than expected but I know i am here to Inspire others and provide them with tools and motivation to achieve their dreams!

That is my the first time I believe i felt truly inspired and purpose driven. It came from inside of me, from what i have learned from the ones closest to me, the love of family, generosity and hard work of my opa, my mothers dedication, and entrepreneurial drive for progression, my fathers honesty, loyalty and compassion, my older sisters attention to detail, and independence, my younger sisters love of life and odd humour! There are so many other family and friends in my life that are also a huge part of this, and these are the things that make me who I am today!

Writing that out feels so unbelievable, I have been blessed with more than I could ever ask for! It blows me away when i think about the knowledge and gifts my family has given me to succeed in life, and thats why it is my goal to help others do the same!

I have been amazed by the amount of views on my blog last thursday i had over 100! But i want to hear from you! I want your ideas and your insights into my blog! Often by writing a response it helps me to understand my take on the article!

Or write a blog and tell me about it! This blog has helped me so much because now i am writing out my thoughts. Once you can actually see you thoughts it helps you process them in a different way then when they are just bouncing around in your head! I used to hate writing i was no good at it and  found it boring, but i was also writing about things i was not interested in! Dont let your past experience in L.A. or creative writing fool you, this was assigned and most of the time i wasnt interested or captivated by the topics! This lead me to hate writing, and reading! 

What I have realized since i have started this blog is that both are amazingly rewarding, easy and fun! There is so many books, articles, blogs, magazines out there you can always find something that you want to learn about! As for writing it is very similar, blog or write about something you love and the words will keep coming!

Figuring out your Dreams

Figuring out your dream and how you can make it into a reality is never an easy task! Dreams change as you grow up and what was once your dream may not hold the same value as it did at one point! What we have to remember is change is good! Change is key to staying relevant and modern. With a world that is continually growing and expanding we need embrace and fuel change!

Here is a simple question that will help you realize how your dreams have changed through out the years. “What do you do that truly gives you a feeling of joy?”Try and answer this question from multiple times in your life, when you were in elementary, high school, university, your first job, and now!

Of course as we get older we change! Our brains develop and we begin to see new paths and options, we start wanting to make our own decisions and a lot of the time end up learning the hard way! I have been so blessed with the most amazing parents and family to help guide me! But still we screw up, we hurt others and ourselves, but we grow!

Like growing up dreams grow too! They start small, and often take a few years to even make any sense. We often learn the hard way or are told that our dreams are to out of reach. This act of telling someone their dream cannot be accomplished can be crippling! I am here to tell you, that you CAN live your dreams, and if you work hard and dedicate yourself to your passion you WILL live your dreams!

No one is going to hand you your dreams, go out into the world and chase it!

Again please help me grow Dream Chasers so that i can reach out to thousands and help them achieve their dreams!

Inspiration is everywhere, you dont have to look to a blog, a video, or a article to find it, it surrounds us all the time! Its our job to be open to inspiration and not over look what is right in front of us!

I was have been blessed with some of the most inspirational people in my life who have taught me so much! I Think a big part of being open to the inspiration is giving what you have to offer in return for nothing! Give and forget but never forget when a gift is given to you!

My opa Walter Regehr is my definition of generosity, I remember the times he was the happiest was when he was giving something away. Whether it was taking me and my Dad on a fishing trip, supporting my moms business when the banks wouldn’t, or simply handing out gifts at christmas Walter gave from his heart and did it with a smile!

When you give it opens you up to receive the gifts of life! Be generous and share what you have with the world!

The reason i ask for your help and for you to simply give me money is not so i can get rich its to help me start a revolution! I want to be able to go out into the world and offer inspiration and tools for success to those who don’t have money to spend on schooling and seminars. I want to help everyone spark the dream inside of them and provide them with the tools to succeed! Dream Chasers is a huge idea with more to discover and It is my dream to touch the lives of thousands of people and help them realize and accomplish their true potential!

Let people get behind you!

Success is defined in many different terms, but mostly in todays world in all revolves around money. People see you as successful if you have a lot of money and things.

Is this actually success? Is making a lot of money enough to make you happy? The answer is no! You need to chase a feeling, you need to believe in what you are doing, and most importantly you need to do it for yourself!

We are all in the pursuit of this feeling we sum up with with the word “happiness”, keep pursuing this feeling and be true to yourself! This is where success happens! This is where you can truly live your life to the fullest! The coolest thing about this is that we as a people want to support people who believe what we believe! So if you truly do what you do because you are passionate about it not for the money but for the feeling the success will also result in finical stability!

Chase the feeling not the money! The last few days since i started my blog have been amazing, I actually reached people that i don’t know, people actually care what i say, and most importantly it lets me wright down and understand feelings that i always struggled with! Now when my mind runs i can focus the thoughts and help share them and inspire other people!
